Text: “For those complaining about that the OWS protestors are lazy and should get a job, I’d like to point something out. During McDonald’s recent big publicity stunt of announcing they would be hiring 50,000 people, over 1,000,000 people applied. They ended up hiring 62,000 people. Now, let’s pretend that exactly 1,000,000 people applied, that means only 6.2% of applicants got a job. Incidentally, only 6.2% of 2015 class of Harvard University applicants got accepted. This means that getting a job at McDonald’s right now is more competitive than getting into Harvard freaking University. Most protestors want to work, desperately so. If you’re going to bitch about the OWS, find a better reason than lazy protestors.” - Jon Lerner
