I noticed this a few days ago. We subscribe to Time and I was disappointed that we weren’t even allowed to access the article. It’s only available outside the US. Anyone have a link to the text?

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Others of the Day: Hint: It’s the one with the cover story about how it’s completely okay, if not beneficial, to feel unease about future uncertainties, as opposed to, say, riot in the streets until sh*t gets done.

Video of police officers pepper spraying students who are peacefully sitting, waiting to be arrested. Then the cops realize they will have to push their arrestees through the very crowd that has watched just watched their despicable action. Oops.

The crowd chants to shame them and the police back down!

We climbed on top of semis; we climbed on top of train cars. We climbed as high as we could. Ascendary means to dominate, to ascend over. It made us feel powerful. But it’s easy to feel powerful when there’s no opposition. There were no police that day. The port of Oakland became our playground.
