Besides being on an exceptionally cute dog, I like that this sign doesn’t purport to know this pooch’s political beliefs, as so many of these placard-on-baby-or-dog protest signs do.

Decolonization ship at the May Day protest in East Oakland. I wonder how long it took them to build it.
The protest was very focused on immigrants rights and indigenous peoples’ rights, so this boat fit right in.

The plan is to march from the old site of Occupy Oakland to the new one by the Fox Theater. A last-minute resolution was voted down tonight that would have canceled the move.
Hey, it’s not til 2pm so even if you go dancing and drinking tonight you can still sleep in and make the rally. Hope to see you there!

Video of police officers pepper spraying students who are peacefully sitting, waiting to be arrested. Then the cops realize they will have to push their arrestees through the very crowd that has watched just watched their despicable action. Oops.
The crowd chants to shame them and the police back down!
