They really don't want you to read news.
When you open up an article on CNN, you don't even have to read it. At the top of the article, to the right of the news story title are three bullet points called "STORY HIGHLIGHTS". So they are taking truncated news, and truncating it even further!
Don't read, don't think, don't question.
